Wonderful Dublin spot!
Very accurate photos of a well-maintained and well-equipped ground-floor apartment. Very convenient from city center, bus goes into town from practically the door-step; and the DART is only 10-15 minute walk away. Sandymount is a charming little village, with a good grocery and butchers and bakery. Would definitely stay here again.
Enjoyable stay at The Seaview, Sandymount Dublin
The apartment was clean and spacious with lovely views. Attention to detail made it very home from home, with a welcome pack of tea coffee biscuits etc. Iverna made it so easy for us with instructions of how to get to The Seaview from the Airport, and the Airbus dropped us nearly outside. The buses to Dublin are every 20 minutes, and 5 minutes round the corner is the village with good restaurants and an excellent butchers shop. We took a lovely walk to the lighthouse that we could see from the apartment window, met many people on the way and everyone was so friendly, Iverna was really helpful. We really miss the view now we're home, it changed all the time with the tide going in an out, and it was so interesting watching all the different people of all ages jogging by.
My wife and our two small children spent a little under a week in this fabulous Sandymount apartment and we loved it. The flat is spacious and very comfortable, tastefully decorated and comes equipped with all modern conveniences. The beds too were really comfortable. The fact that it has a little garden only adds to the charm.
Iverna the owner was very thoughtful and accommodating and ensured our stay was as enjoyable as possible. There was nothing we wanted during the stay but if there was I am sure she would have provided it.
What makes the place even more special is the location which is amazing. It is literally across the road from Dublin's famous Sandymount Strand so you can smell the sea air and we took many walks along the ever changing beach while there. It is hard to realise that you are just a short bus ride from the city centre. So you really have the best of both worlds here.
Yet another pleasing aspect of staying here is the locality — Sandymount is very quaint, with lots of really nice shops, cafés and restaurants. It has a village feel to it with its picturesque central green — but also has a Tesco's for all your supermarket shopping needs.
All in all, we loved our stay here, would definitely return and have no hesitation recommending this flat to anyone else. You will be very pleased!
We stayed in the two bedroom garden apartment for 10 days and found everything about our stay absolutely wonderful!!! We highly recommend this location if you are interested in visiting Dublin but looking for a quieter place to stay within 20 minutes via public transportation.
Sandymount is a wonderful small town with great restaurants, excellent walks and good local markets if you are looking to cook some meals for those non hectic city days. The apartment comes with a fully furnished kitchen, comfortable beds, and good lighting for those gray Irish days.
The owner was very professional and easy to work with and we would highly recommend this property.
Our two week stay was extremely enjoyable and we had every facility we needed to make us feel completely at home. The accommodation is comfortable, spacious, warm and cosy. Although the landlady is living upstairs and was very helpful when we needed to ask her about anything, she never bothered us and we had complete privacy. The kitchen is very well equipped, which is important for us because we like to prepare our own meals.
It is especially well-suited to travellers with pets because there is a lovely private enclosed garden, and first thing every morning we went for a walk on Sandymount Strand, with endless acres of sandy beach for the dogs to run around. It is also very convenient for Dublin city centre. It was great to have free wi-fi and cable TV, although unfortunately the wi-fi didn't work perfectly 100% of the time. Mobile phone signals can also be patchy thanks to the thick walls.
Parking is available on street right outside the gate, and was always available; over the course of two weeks we were able to park there every time.
We loved it; we were delighted with our choice, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for self-catering accommodation near Dublin city but with all the amenities of being beside the sea and near Sandymount village.
We had a very good time during our stay in this apartment. The communication with the owner was good (e-Mail, phone) and the booking was without any difficulties. After having arrived we moved in and felt at home.
The kitchen is a bit small but is well equipped and has everything you need. We enjoyed having the free internet access and the large (SKY) TV program as due to our little kids we were housebound. The apartment was clean and well maintained. It is near the city centre, the ferry port. You have very good access to public transport.
But the most important thing for us: it is one of the rare places in Ireland where pets are really welcome. We enjoyed the long walks on the beach just in front of the house. We would recommend it to our friends.
